Campus Updates
Unified Campus Exploration Begins
We have officially begun exploring the possibility of creating a unified, one-campus school through expansion and updates to our Freeman Road buildings, just across the street from one another.
Bringing all of our students together on one campus has been a dream of mine since I became the Head of School. A unified campus would bring numerous benefits, including:
Stronger Community: Enhanced opportunities for campus-wide events and deeper connections among students, parents and teachers across all levels.
Improved Collaboration: Greater sharing of materials, ideas, and best practices between classrooms, especially those of the same level.
Expanded Mentorship: Increased mentoring opportunities, with older students guiding younger ones and more mentorship teacher-to-teacher and teacher-to-assistant.
Cost Efficiency: Reduced overhead costs, allowing us to keep tuition as affordable as possible and invest more in recruiting and retaining high-quality staff through competitive compensation and benefits.
Enriched Programs: Expanded offerings in core and specialty areas such as reading intervention, art, music, Spanish, sports and athletics, and social skills. Centralized resources would allow specialty teachers to focus more on programming and less on travel between locations.
Enhanced Athletics: Greater access to fitness programming and resources for all students.
To begin this process, our Board of Directors has engaged an architect to draft initial designs and consult with the Village of Hoffman Estates about feasibility and zoning requirements. We have also met with our lead teachers to gather their input on creating ideal classrooms and outdoor spaces, and they are energized by this vision! As you can see in the attached photographs, some of our toddlers were curious about the architect and design during his visit to the Huntington Campus.
Our hope is to complete this project within the next two years, though this timeline will depend on several factors. During this early design phase, we are working through several important steps, including zoning reviews, parking studies, gaining neighborhood support, and acquiring necessary permits.
We will keep you informed as we progress and will be inviting parent input and involvement in the coming months. This is an exciting time for the MANH community, and I can’t wait to see how this vision unfolds. Thank you for your continued support as we move forward with this transformative opportunity.
