Why We Host Trunk or Treat

Every fall, Montessori Academy of North Hoffman hosts Trunk or Treat—a festive afterschool event that brings our school community together for fun, creativity, and a little Halloween magic. This annual event offers a safe and joyful way for students and families to enjoy the season, complete with costumes, games, and plenty of treats.

Families are invited to walk from car to car with their children, collecting treats and participating in games at each uniquely decorated trunk. Parents and staff transform their vehicles into themed stations—ranging from whimsical and seasonal to silly and spooky—making the parking lot a vibrant and imaginative space.

In keeping with our Montessori values, the focus is on community, creativity, and shared joy. Children are encouraged to participate at their own pace, and families can choose to join the fun by decorating a trunk, handing out goodies, or simply enjoying the event together. Trunk or Treat brings laughter, connection, and sweet memories to students of all ages.
