Erdkinder’s Spring 2026 Educational Adventures

Lower Erdkinder Trip to North Carolina
March 15–20, 2026

Lower Erdkinder is traveling to Brasstown, North Carolina to study self-reliance at the John C. Campbell Folk School, connecting their American History studies to the lived traditions of the land. Guided by Indigenous teachings on reciprocity—giving back more than we take—they will repurpose discarded fabrics, learn from artisans and woodsmen, and share food grown from kitchen gardens. Surrounded by bluegrass, storytelling, and communal work, they will embody the Appalachian spirit of resilience, mutual care, and reverence for the land.
