Join us at MANH this summer for a cultural immersion experience created especially for students entering grades 7–9 and open to any middle or high school students. This program invites students to explore new perspectives, build practical life skills, and learn through active, engaging experiences!
Students will learn about travel through guided activities and real-life applications, including how to apply for a passport and visa, plan transportation, pack thoughtfully, manage a budget, and understand the many details involved in international travel. They will also explore what it means to approach other cultures with curiosity, respect, and openness to learning.
This summer, students will “travel” to Norway through cooking, sports and movement, special outings, time outdoors, song and music, stories and storytelling, arts and crafts, and community outreach. These experiences are designed to help students build practical skills while gaining a deeper understanding of culture, tradition, and everyday life.
The program is led by Kiera Danou Hasan, who holds degrees in social studies education, Nordic studies, and music. This will be Kiera’s third year working with MANH students at summer camp, and she brings a strong passion for education and cultural study.
