High School Boat Prom Celebration

On May 9, our 9th–12th grade students gathered for our annual Boat Prom. This special tradition, chaperoned by Ms. Motlagh and her husband, Jeff, is designed to celebrate friendship, community, and the strong bonds built throughout the school year.

The evening began with professional photos, followed by a stretch SUV limousine ride to Navy Pier. Once aboard the Odyssey Dinner Cruise, students enjoyed a plated dinner, music, and dancing—all while taking in the sparkling lights of the Chicago skyline.

We believe in creating meaningful traditions that reflect our values. Boat Prom offers a joyful, low-pressure experience where every student feels welcome—free from the pressures and excess often associated with traditional proms. Rooted in Montessori principles, the evening celebrates not just a moment in time, but the relationships, growth, and sense of belonging that define our Erdkinder program.
