Victory for the MANH Track Team
The new MANH Track Team kicked off May with an incredible achievement—our JV girls (5th–7th grade) won the championship in the Windy City Spring Series!
We competed against eight other teams, and every single athlete gave it their all. Highlights included wins in both the 4x200m and 4x400m relay races, with strong showings from Marina, Eve, Lilian, Leilani, Ashlynn, and Ariya. Ariya was especially impressive, winning every event she entered—including the 100m, 200m, long jump, and a relay—and earning a perfect score for the meet.
Every member of the team earned a personal best (PR) in at least one event. From sprints to long jump to the demanding 800m, our students showed incredible determination and sportsmanship. Special recognition goes to Eleanor, who returned from injury to help the team in the 800m, and to Lilian and Eve, who stepped up to compete in older divisions.
As a small team, every athlete played a crucial role. Careful strategy and big effort led to a well-deserved victory, and I couldn’t be prouder of each runner’s dedication and heart.
