STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Debora Bruna

Debora Bruna
Co-Directress, Toddlers

What led you to become an educator?

My journey began in 2018 when I worked as an au pair caring for three children, and I quickly realized how much I loved being part of their growth. I continued with the same family as a nanny for five years, which deepened my appreciation for how much we can learn from children. In 2023, I transitioned to a Montessori school and was inspired by the independence and confidence children showed in that environment. These experiences led me to pursue education as a career, where I can support children’s development while continuing to learn from them.

What do you love about working at MANH?

Working at MANH has been a rewarding experience because of the strong sense of community and collaboration. I love the children, my coworkers, and the supportive environment that encourages professional growth. MANH has motivated me to continue my studies, and I am currently pursuing my Infant-Toddler Montessori certification and an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. As co-directress of the toddler classroom with Ms. Areli, I feel inspired each day by the children’s curiosity and independence. It is also very special to me that my own daughter is part of the infant room at MANH, which makes the school feel even more like family.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at school?

Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, which helps me recharge and stay grounded. I also love cooking for the people I care about, listening to music, and traveling.
